As noted in previous blogs, the last few years have been a bit of a challenge for me personally.
Despite all the trials, the one thing that is a constant is my love for my work and my clients. I am grateful that I have Modern Love and am able to work in my business shooting Boudoir, Weddings, Portraits and Editorial work.
To me, the stripped Down Method is the foundation of all of my work across all genres of portrait photography.
It simply makes sense that you understand the Art of Emotion and Directing whenever you have a subject in front of your lense.
This skill set allows you to have a controlled environment where you have the ability create images full of emotion. The kind that really draw the viewer in, make you feel and emphasize the beauty of our humanity.
I hope to share much more of that work with you this year as well as provide educational opportunities for those of you looking to learn the Stripped Down Method across platforms.
Last year I had the opportunity to work on a project with my dear friend and muse Malia again (I love when I get to be with her).
It was a very emotive and personal project for me in collaboration with BLACK LOTUS CLOTHING.
Whenever I need a subject who can dig deep down and follow my direction for longing I call Malia. She was been with me though the best of times and the worst of times. She is a true muse who will follow me down the rabbit hole into emotive images that oftentimes leave us both in tears.
Thank you for being my person Malia, thank you for loving me and thank you for being the incredible human that you are!
I will be at WPPI sponsored by SHOOTQ and SIMPLY COLOR LAB teaching a platform class and a PHOTO WALK
I would love to see you there!
